Art changes lives _ how we see the world and others in it. Art is visual but is also a dialogue between the artist, viewer and the art itself. Art asks us questions and challenges our assumptions as to what it is. The paintings I am showing are the result of my journey.
The pictures in the exhibit would show a progression of how I am thinking about art and painting. Beginning with works that are formally composed and moving into works whose composition is random to varying degrees. I have consciously removed – pared down my paintings, so that only what is needed remains. My paintings are informed by my experiences, art history – dreams and randomness.
